What is Satachi Trade Exchange?

Satachi Trade Exchange allows modern businesses to profit from the oldest form of trade: Barter.

As a Satachi Trade Exchange member, you can exchange your goods and services for trade credits which you can spend with any other bussiness in the Satachi community.

You don't have to spend your credits with the business that purchased from you - you can spend them with any member of the Satachi community.

Here's how it works:

  • When other members purchase goods and services from you, they pay fully or partially in our unit of currency, the Satachi Pound (S£), with any balance paid in cash.
  • These S£ are credited to your Satachi Account and you are then free to spend them on goods or services from any member of the trade exchange.

You don't even need to make sales before you can spend - all Satachi Trade Exchange accounts provide an interes-free line of credit (subject to status).

Guaranteed New Business

For every Satachi Pound you spend, you are guaranteed to get an equal amount of trade in return from the Satachi community. We even employ dedicated Trade Coordinators to help find suitable trading partners for you.

By entering into trade transactions, you can reduce your cash costs, improve your cashflow and ultimately increase your profits.

You will receive Satachi Pounds as payment for your goods and services - but the only cash you will spend will be the costs of providing your goods and services.

 

Who can benefit from Trade Exchange?

Here's an example of how trade exchange can work:

Trade Scenario:

A printing business that's a Satachi member wants to reduce its ongoing cash costs by trading £5000 worth of garage labour for £5000 of printing services.

A local garage that's also a Satachi member agrees to accept trade payment for £5000 of labour and only charge cash for the parts that are required.

Trade Transaction:

The printing business's Satachi account is debited by S£5,000. It now owes S£5,000 worth of printing services to the Satachi community (not the garage).

The garage's Satachi account is credited with S£5,000. It now has S£5,000 to spend within the Satachi community. This might include purchasing stationery, computer services, a website design or even restaurant meals and hotel rooms - anything that's on offer from other Satachi member businesses.

Trade Result:

Both companies have benefited from trade exchange.

The garage has been able to buy £5,000 of goods and services and utilise its mechanics' spare capacity at negligible cost to itself, since its staff would be being paid the same amount anyway.

The printing business has been able to get £5,000 worth of garage labour for a cash cost equivalent to its net cost per item printed - much less than £5,000.
